LaFutura 2012
LaFutura 2012 on November 9th in Helsinki, Finland.
LaFutura is a unique event for a community of experts who explore opportunities and create possibilities for lasting change, including futures specialists, trend researchers, leading innovators and strategic designers.
This year’s LaFutura will take place in Helsinki, Finland – a city that serves as the World Design Capital 2012, is one of Europe’s leading technology hubs with a booming startup scene and, according to Monocle magazine, one of the most livable places in the world.
La Futura 2012 is organized by the network Futures Specialists Helsinki, in co-operation with TrendONE GmbH. The event is organized on a non-profit basis. LaFutura has been organized twice before, in 2010 in Berlin and last year simultaneously in Berlin and New York, where it brought together over 100 experts involved in future trends and innovation.
The theme of this year’s event is AFTER PARTY – SURVIVAL STRATEGIES IN POST-EVERYTHING EUROPE. In the midst of the major shifts Europe is facing we are likely to see less of the same and more of the unprecedented. We will explore the key dilemmas and uncover obstacles and opportunities under the topics of hyper-local economies, new food ecologies, models for citizen action and modes of open collaboration.
